A summary of Callisto's first ever Full Moon Merrymaking.

The Wolf Moon: A Festive Gathering with Callisto

Following January's New Moon, Callisto hosted a celebration of the first Full Moon of 2024 last weekend. Visitors were treated to a warm & welcoming atmosphere in the woodlands, complete with the setting sun & herbal teas. These gatherings, known as "Merrymakings," have evolved into intimate social settings where like-minded individuals can share their interests, practices, and philosophies.

Creating Positive Energy

As always, Aimee commenced the session by invoking the corners, symbolising the formation of a figurative circle where guests can generate positive energy to enhance their practice. The group then engaged in a remarkable discussion revolving around the "Wolf Moon" name's origins, folklore stories from various cultures about the full moon, its impact on our language, the origin of common phrases & the moon's effect on our planet & its animal inhabitants.

We're pleased to announce that, based on feedback from the previous Merrymaking session, we have integrated more structured activities & theories to assist in your learning process. If you have any more suggestions please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Self-love & Reflection

Following a serene woodland walk during sunset, visitors were able to participate in reflective practice activities. These activities focused on self-love, affirmation & acceptance. Afterward, visitors were asked to journal the things in their lives they wished to let go of. These writings were then cast into the fire, representing the act of releasing negativity from our lives.

Self-love & affirmation are important aspects of mental health & by focusing on these concepts, guests were able to cultivate a deeper sense of self-awareness & acceptance. The act of journaling can also be a powerful tool for self-reflection & growth, allowing individuals to process their emotions & gain clarity on the things that are holding them back. Finally, casting the writings into the fire signified a symbolic release of negative thoughts & emotions, allowing the visitors to start anew & move forward with a sense of lightness and freedom. Overall, the woodland walk & reflective practice activities provided a much-needed opportunity for visitors to connect with nature and themselves, promoting inner peace & well-being.

A Memorable Night of Spirituality and Camaraderie

As the sun set, guests gathered around a roaring fire, sipping warm drinks & socializing. The evening came to a close with visitors reading oracle cards for one another, working with crystals & enjoying each other's company. The circle was closed, ending a memorable night of spirituality and camaraderie.
