From Wisconsin to the Wilderness
Muir's family emigrated to the United States when he was just eleven years old, settling in Wisconsin. The Sierra Club
In 1892, Muir co-founded the Sierra Club, a conservation organization aimed at protecting the environment & promoting the responsible use of natural resources. The Club played a pivotal role in advocating for the establishment of national parks, including Yosemite & Sequoia National Parks.
