Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
Yarrow is a flowering perennial that grows abundantly across Europe, North America & Asia. Â It has a rich history as one of the oldest plants used medicinally, with reports of its use dating back almost 3,000 years.
Historically the plant has been used topically to treat burns, small cuts & grazes, stem bleeding & is thought to act as an anti-inflammatory & antioxidant.
In addition to its medicinal properties, yarrow is also a popular ornamental plant, with its delicate flowers and fern-like leaves adding beauty to any garden. It is also a favorite among pollinators such as bees and butterflies, making it an important plant for maintaining biodiversity.
Yarrow is a hardy plant that can grow in a wide range of conditions, from full sun to partial shade, and is tolerant of drought and poor soil. Â Whether you are looking for a beautiful addition to your garden or a natural remedy for common ailments, yarrow is a plant worth considering.
Exciting opportunities await at the upcoming workshop.
