Discovering the Art of Firecraft with Fara Kanna.

At Fara Kanna, we take pride in our passion for firecraft, a unique human skill that is essential to the woodland experience. Our short course offers an in-depth exploration of both modern & traditional methods of creating fire, as well as identifying tinder sources in the landscape.

Firecraft is not only an essential survival skill but also a way of connecting with nature & experiencing the outdoors in a new and exciting way.  Our course is designed to teach you how to create fire safely & responsibly, while also learning about the history & culture of firecraft.

During the course, you will learn about different types of tinder and kindling, as well as how to choose the right materials for different weather conditions.  You will also have the opportunity to practice traditional fire-making techniques, such as using flint & steel or a bow drill.
