... We Belong to It

"The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit."

- Nelson Henderson

We owe a number of thank yous for this one...

Firstly, a huge thank you to The Conservation Volunteers: TCV for their generous contribution of fifty saplings to be planted throughout our woodlands at Hundhill.

TCV reached out to us just before Christmas extending this offer, they are a wonderful charity, dedicated to conservation with hubs up & down the UK

We're not special in taking up this offer, it's open to anyone and can be accessed following the link above completely free with various conservation packages available. Check them out, give them a follow on social media & spread the word. Every little helps them out & aids them in "connecting people and green spaces to deliver lasting outcomes for both."

Secondly, we would like to thank our landowner. Michael is the glue behind the scenes who makes all this possible. If not for his generosity & trust none of this would be able to happen. We are forever grateful to him, you may never meet him but know he is the most giving, understanding, generous, selfless, humble & wonderful man you would ever wish to meet. He means more to us than he will probably ever know.

And lastly, but by no means least. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend. Thank you for giving up your time to help with our ongoing conservation efforts.

Throughout the afternoon our participants successfully planted all fifty saplings in strategic places across four acres of woodland. During which time there were multiple discussions surrounding biodiversity, ecosystem balance & management and an overall love & appreciation for wild spaces.

Observing everyone's efforts was truly humbling and we cannot thank you enough. we may not see these saplings grow to maturity but generations to come will & in the end isn't that what's important?

We're passionate about not only maintaining the woodlands but caring for it after all "we must remember that in the end nature does not belong to us, we belong to it." - Grey Owl

And once again...

Sincerely,

Thank you
