Shelter & Camp Setup

June has brought with it a heat wave so it only seemed appropriate we host our Shelter & Camp Setup event, after all it's important to regulate your core body temperature.

So shaded under the canopy our participants set off to practice their skills...

Having practised hitches, knots, ridgelines & toggles participants had the opportunity to explore our conservation area & put their skills to the test.

Here our participants were able to demonstrate some excellent rope skills rigging secure ridgelines for their tarp shelters. We had some A-frames, a fly, diamond & a plough point. From here, in preparation for next month, the hammocks came out for a relaxed, slow paced afternoon surrounded by bird song and the late Spring sun.
