May at Fara Kanna

April showers bring May flowers.

Over the past month the woodland at Fox Covert has transformed itself to a lush green wonderland with a rich carpet of bluebells throughout and it's been truly awesome to watch the ecosystems seasonal changes.

Moving closer to the Summer months brought with it the return (finally) of Bushcraft 101, activities for our youngest visitors. It's terrific to watch young peoples curiosity, confidence & skills grow over time as they become more & more comfortable spending prolonged time in our wild spaces.

It felt like an age had passed since we ran Bushcraft 101 & we figured the our adult participants shouldn't get to have all the fun so with that being said we have been focusing on some of the same subjects; fire, shelter and comfort.

May also allowed our Natural Tinder Firecraft event to finally happen which we were thrilled over, it'd been a long time coming. Creating fire is a skill as old as man and something were incredibly passionate about, you can read more about this event at the specific blog post here.

We'll back next month with more weekly Bushcraft 101 sessions to enjoy, we have our upcoming Shelter & camp Setup event and for the first time were playing host to Elite Forest School.

See you guys in June, keep safe everyone and #goexplore
