March has been a great month for us at Fara Kanna where we have, metaphorically, planted seeds ready for the future.
This month we have established several partnership we are thrilled to tell you about.
In addition to working closely with KL Falconry through the Spring we are delighted to be working with St. Marys Community Centre to provide local children & young people with exciting outdoor activities helping them get back outside, foster their love for our wild spaces & develop their practical skillset.
It is also our privilege to tell you that the one & only Hunter Gatherer Scavenger Cook, Tony Marshall we be joining us at Fox Covert again in the near future to share with us his knowledge of wild cooking & animal preparation in the field.

In the final weeks of March we have also begun landscaping the area just to the East of our basecamp. This will provide you all with additional space to be utilised throughout the Summer months. It will also reduce the impact upon the field layer in areas in regular use, in line with our sustainability plan.
The area is roughly half an acre of flat land, surrounded by ferns & bramble with very few established trees. The lack of a canopy means we will have a wonderful little sun trap in the warmer months. The plan is to establish trails & paths, a clear perimeter, put up a couple of wattle fences & dig out a fire pit all ready for our first overnighter in June.

Our monthly event Build Your own Packframe was an amazing success & we cannot thank our participants enough for spending their Saturdays with us up at Fox Covert. It's awesome to see peoples skills & confidence develop as they spend more time in the woods.

We feel like we have really upped or social media presence over the last month too, we are committed to regularly uploading content of a high quality for you all. We have had a great response in the past weeks & we cannot thank you enough for your support & interaction.
