Summer Camp Crafts

It's official, we're one year old, and to celebrate our first anniversary we're bringing you Summer Camp Crafts.

Come spend the afternoon within the lush woodlands at Hundhill, enjoy the Summer sun & create your own Camp Crafts.

At this event you will create your own:-

- Bushcraft chair/stool

- Table to hold all your equipment

- Camp items everyone will need at some point

After all "the great thing about bushcraft is the skills go with you." (Ray Mears)

- Practice you cutting techniques

- Learn to sharpen a blade

- Learn to identify the appropriate materials needed

- Develop our knowledge of the natural world

- Expand our skill set & tool box

- Share skills & experiences

If you have your own kit (fixed blade knife etc.) and want to use it feel free to bring it along with you.  If not don't worry we've got you covered, all the tools and equiptment will be provided.

And since we're pagans at heart we'll celebrate the Sabbat in our own little way.  Lughnasadh or Lughnasa is a Gaelic festival marking the beginning of the harvest season... Traditionally it is held on 1 August (sorry we're late), or about halfway between the summer solstice and autumn equinox.  We'll celebrate the harvest & the good fortunes the past twelve months we have been blessed with by baking our own bread & creating 'game pasties' and wash them down with a celebratory ale.

Due to the nature of this event particpants must be aged 18 years or over.
