Overnight Camp

As June rolls around we continue to follow in our role models footsteps.  This month we're following the path of Steven Brondel.

Steve was the founder & original Chief Instructor of Wilderness Adventures, custodian of Fox Covert before us and a man who was willing to take a gamble on a bloke with a pipe dream.  In all honesty, Steve did an incredible amount to help get Fara Kanna off the ground & we're forever endebted to him & his family.  Steve would often spend many a night among the trees at Fox Covert & this evening we're doing the same.

Enjoy a peacful Saturday night in our beautful woodland in full bloom.  We'll meet early evening close to the end of Spring where we will head into the trees & establish camp for the night.  Take advantage of a relaxed pace while we cook our evening meal over an open fire as dusk threatens to raise its head.  After dinner we'll look at a few knife skills before winding down for the evening when we'll watch the sun set before retiring for a night under the stars.

Where and how you sleep is up to you...

Whether in a tent, basha, hammock, lavvu, under a tarp or even a debris shelter if you're brave the choice is yours as is your pitch location.  We have access to the whole property including the field to the North & our conservation area to the East.

Following a restful night surrounded by lush greenery & local wildlife we'll rise with the sun & cook breakfast, you'll leave with a full stomach, a clear mind, close bonds and an experience you won't soon forget.

At this event you will:

- Establish a safe camp for the evening

- Create fire using a variety of traditionals and modern means

- Cook over an open fire

- Practice knife & axe skills

- Welcome in the Spring sleeping under the stars

- Enjoy a rustic woodland breakfast

- Make memories to last a lifetime

SHELTER & COMFORT:

- Tent/trap/hammock/bivvy/lavvu (something to sleep under/in)

- Sleeping bag

STAY WARM & WEATHERPROOF:

- Waterproofs

- Something clean & dry to sleep in

- Suitable footwear
