Create Your Own Packframe

We're starting 2022 paying tribute to some of our personal heroes & inspirations, beginning with Thomas Roycroft.

Tom Roycroft was a civilian instructor at a Canadian Department of National Defence Survival School before meeting and eventually becoming mentor to the one & only Mors Kochanski.

Join us for our first afternoon of 2022 up at Fox Covert where we aim to honour this great mans legacy creating our very own Roycroft packframes.

Have you ever struggled to carry all your equipmemnt with you?  Didn't fancy shelling out for thay backpack online?  Wanted something a little more traditional & rustic?  Or simply needed to improvise while out in the field, then come spend the afternoon with us where you will:-

- Create you own packframe, yours to keep, from locally sourced materials

- Learn to safely use a variety of cutting tools

- Focus on the practical application of knots

- Learn to identify the appropriate materials needed

- Develop our knowledge of the natural world

- Expand our skill set & tool box

- Honour a tradition passed down through generations

If you have your own kit & equipment (saw, fixed blade etc.) feel free to bring it along, we love to see the tools people are using.  If not, not to worry, any and all equipment needed will be provided.
